Software Engineer

Job Description

You will be involved in new development, derivative development, and maintenance work for clients in the pharmaceutical industry and research institutions, mainly in the following areas:

  • Drug discovery support platforms and related systems
  • Research support systems (primarily web applications)
  • IT infrastructure (mainly virtual environments on cloud services such as AWS)

You will support or lead daily development tasks based on the following technologies and environments. While taking on challenges with the latest technologies and best practices, such as cloud, containers, and generative AI, you will work closely with team members to move projects forward.

Through discussions with teams and business units, you will also have the opportunity to propose improvements to the technical environment and ideas for streamlining operations in an open workplace culture.

  • Languages: Python, JavaScript, R, etc.
  • Frameworks: Vue, React, Django, etc.
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.
  • Development tools: GitHub, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Visual Studio Code, etc.
  • Virtual environments: Docker, Apptainer
  • Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, on-premises

 

Onboarding

After joining, you will participate in actual projects as a member of the development team.
For those without prior experience, a 3-month in-house training program will be provided before team assignment.
Even in your first project, you may be involved in the entire process—from estimation to delivery.
 

Career Path

There are three main career paths:

  1. Specialist/Technical Expert

  2. Lead Engineer

  3. Team Leader/Manager

You can choose a path aligned with your goals, whether you want to focus on technical expertise, take on leadership as a development lead or project manager, or aim for a team leader or division head position.
